My friend and I want to try the Master Cleanse (you know, where you only drink a mixture of lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water) but i was wondering if anyone has tried it before and how they felt about it. It's not necessarily for weight loss, and I'm pretty curious to at least try it. Although all posts are welcome, if you haven't tried it, please don't just write how your body needs more nutrients and how bad it is for you, etc unless you have a medical background or something like that. ok so i've done it twice, but i pretty much cheated...i only used bottled lemon juice, water, and a little sugar...yep just lemonade..but i still lost and kept the weight off...i was really nervous about not having energy, so thats y i decided to do the diet that way, plus the original recipe tastes horrible...all in all i really like the diet, and i did end up having a lot of energy...but day 1 i didnt feel very energized, but thats because i started cold turkey...you should plan it out...like say you wanted to start on a thursday, well then on monday you should eat three small meals and then tuesday 2 small meals and so on, so yea i didnt do this the first time so i ended up nibbling on a few chips...but good luck!...oh and i suggest you start out with not going over 5 days, but it just depends on how you react...Master Cleanse?
i am going to start the master cleanse in a couple days. I recommend purchasing a book on it because it gives you a lot of other information like how to come off the cleanse (because if you eat right after you will get sick due to your digestive system not working as much). I think the cleanse makes sense though because you are getting all your nutrients in minimal calories.
but ya get a book and follow the directions exactly.

I have tried it. I drink lemon water all day and do not eat anything all day. I eat all my food at night and have been doing this for almost 2 years now. So it's kinda like water fasting all day every day and eating all your meals in the evening.
I feel pretty good. I look healthy and skin is glowing etc. But my kidneys are making me go to the toilet a lot more when I drink lemon water instead of just plain water.
This is nothing but a bunch of plain old BS! More entertainment, something to talk about, than anything else.
Sorry to butt in here, but a reasonably healthy body does an
excellent job of keeping itself clean even when abused (';cleansed';) by it's owner.
Eat healthy, exercise, and drink when you're thirsty or just
want to, extra in summer and when exercising. That's all you need
to do! Your fantastically designed body will do the rest. And your body and
wallet will be proud of you!
