no you should not use grade a in place of grade b because the mineral content is not the same, grade b is higher. you can purchase grade b syrup online, google Maple River Valley in Westby, Wisconsin. Some places use formaldehyde pellets in the process of tapping the trees, maple river valley does not.Can I use Grade A maple syrup for the master cleanse aka lemonade diet?
All grades of maple syrup are better than the artificial syrups. There isn't one grade of maple syrup that is ';better'; than another, so if Grade A is all you can find, you can use it with no problem. Grade A is lighter and clearer than Grade B; nutritionally they are the same.
