What exactly is the Master Cleanse Diet?

What exactly is the Master Cleanse Diet? %26amp; What would you have to do on it?What exactly is the Master Cleanse Diet?
also known as the lemonade diet, it is a diet where you eat no food. All you do is drink a mixture of pure lemon juice, water, cayenne pepper and maple syrup for a number of days. Normally, you would drink several litres of this mixture per day. Its recommended that you do this for at least 7 days, but preferably more.

The intent of the diet is to remove 'toxins' from your body that are stored in your adipose (fat) tissue. These 'toxins' are normally environmental contaminants, food preservatives, etc, basically any chemical that we are exposed to, of which there are hundreds of thousands likely. What exactly is the Master Cleanse Diet?
Nonsense, is what it is.

What you lose you gain right back, plus some...just as in any fad diet where you don't make fundamental changes to your dietary intake and excercise regime.

If you're just looking to detox your body, go for it. If you're out to lose pounds, stick w/ healthy programs like Weight Watchers.
It cleans you body of toxins and makes you lose about 7 to 10 lb but it looks like 15
Cleansing gives your body and your digestive system a much needed break.. It helps to expel aging, degenerative and dead cells to make room for new healthy ones. But I wouldn't recommend it for weight loss although you do lose weight. The weight loss though is only temporary so make sure you are doing it for the right reasons.
The Master Cleanse was created by Stanley Burroughs.

Stanley Burroughs was not a doctor. He was a quack and none of his ideas have any basis in medical fact. Please do your research!!!

In 1984, Burroughs was found guilty of 2nd degree murder, which was later reduced to a criminal homicide, while one of his ';patients'; died under the treatment in his book. For more information, see:
