my ma has an underactive thyroid but gets really bad headaches so is trying the MC. is this ok? will it have neg effects on thyroid condition?Is it safe to do the master cleanse if your hypothyroid?
The master cleanse?!! I've just looked it up and you have to drink maple syrup, lemon and cayenne pepper. So it's basically peppery lemonade. How exactly is that supposed to cleanse anything?! Your liver and kidneys very efficiently get rid of 'toxins' so unless you are in liver or kidney failure then 'detox' is an absolute scam - there's no such thing. I have no idea what the effect on thyroid medication would be, but since it is a complete waste of time my advice would be not to bother.
